Matt Ryan

Hi, my name is Matt Ryan, BSc. and MSc. Kinesiology, certified personal trainer since 2005, and a life-long athlete with 20-years in the fitness industry.

I can help you reach your fitness goals: whether it is losing weight, gaining muscle, becoming healthy/active, or simply getting comfortable and confident in a fitness environment.

I have extensive experience teaching fitness for:

My underlying philosophy regarding fitness is to enjoy the process, which leads to sticking with it, which in turn leads to achieving desired results. Hard work is required, but enjoyment is a must, and I strive to make sessions both fun and challenging no matter what the goal. Enjoyment = Adherence = Results.

My interest in health and fitness has been a life-long one. I was the Canadian National Champion for gymnastics and national team member for 7 years. As a supplement for gymnastics, I began structured weight training as a 15-year old and have been in the weight-room 3-5 days per week since. Currently, in addition to personal training, I am persuing a lifelong dream to become a Professional performance artist, specializing in pole fitness.
